We added/updated our search and filtering system by adding the Big Yellow Zone add-on called Enhanced Page Search. This will allow you to quickly find products using more generic terms like "14 inch monitor". Additionally, it upgraded our results filtering by allow you to apply additional text filters, minimum and maximum prices, and/or to search by manufacturer.

We have upgraded our Xigla FAQ Manager, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) to the latest version. Although there are some backend improvements, the biggest change for our visitors is the addition of a "Glossary". We will be populating the glossary over the next few weeks. Just returned from Carmel Indiana where I received certification on the Bosch Video Management System (BVMS). What a fantastic management tool/system this is. I was very impressed by the Bosch product line and the Bosch team (our trainer and a few members of the Sales Team) that were present at the training. I am very excited to be certified on this great product and am excited to be starting a project next week that is BVMS based.

Recent Updates & Upgrades:
- QuickBooks Payment Gateway: We have changed our payment gateway provider from PayPal to QuickBooks. This eliminated the PayPal requirement to place the express checkout button prior to any other payment method. This was creating problems as the PayPal Express checkout never collected shipping or tax information as it was required to be prior to collecting your shipping information.
- Sony CCTV: We have added the Sony CCTV product line.
- Removed MSRP prices from our product pages. We felt that this was cluttering our product pages and was not really an accurate or useful piece of information as very few products are sold for at MSRP.
- Data Sheets, product descriptions, images, and related products: We continue to work our way through the 14,000 plus products fine tuning the pages with improved pictures, additional data sheets, added a brochure link (when available), and have been fine tuning the "related" products links.
- Bosch products: we originally had all Bosch parts preceded by "Bosch" which made if difficult to search for them. We have moved the "Bosch" to follow the part number. For example, (Was) "Bosch NWC 049520P" is (Now) "NWC 049520P Bosch". This allows the search engine to provide more accurate results when entering the beginning of part numbers. Now entering "NWC 0495" will return all parts that begin with that part number and you can use the advanced filter at the bottom of the results page to further filter your results. |

Recent Upgrades & Changes:
- Lot's of Changes to the website. We've essentially changed the entire layout to accommodate an additional column on the right side and made the pages adjust to your monitor size.
- We continue to update our product descriptions (this is a very tedious and long process!
 - We have changed the picture viewing package to allow zooming and more than one image
- Added the BBB Accredited Business Seal with a link to our rating with the BBB
- TechSean Completed the Optex Outdoor Perimeter Training Program
- Last fall we received a plaque for "Extraordinary Contribution to Security" at Centennial Airport during the Democratic National Convention. Someday, (soon?)
 I'll try to make topic called "We love ourselves"  to share/post these sort of things all in one place. - We have created an account on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/AccentAlarms) where we have started collecting security related videos

We have removed all DMP products from the website as directed by DMP and will not longer be able to offer DMP products, except to our local customers.
We have updated the product pages to include one embedded product video (if available) directly on the product page. You can still access The Accent Alarms video library by either following the link on the product pages or by clicking the "Two Thumbs Up Smiley Face" on our page header.
We are working on a few new videos, but have to wait in line to get the demo gear from the local reps.

We changed our Live Chat from Xigla to Comm100 as we were having what seemed like monthly problems with the Xigla application. Although we have only had the Comm100 Live Chat in place for a day. It seems to do everything that Xigla did and it's free!
